Abstract

Exercise testing, despite being a widely used method of assessing myocardial ischemia and with known advantages, receives criticism when its accuracy is compared to that of other methods. The use of accessory electrocardiographic signals, in conjunction with the classic changes in the ST segment, is able to improve these indices, improving their reliability in the detection of ischemia. In this article, we will review the unusual manifestations of ischemia in exercise testing, based on the main studies that investigated the topic.
