Abstract

The number of patients with electronic devices has grown substantially in recent years. Pacemakers (PM) with numerous schedules and defibrillators with or without resynchronizers are increasingly common, however, the programming of such devices is performed routinely at rest, forgetting to assess the patient’s functional capacity (FC), which can result in the inappropriate functioning of the PM during the effort and compromise the quality of life. Thus, it is necessary to integrate ergometrists and electrophysiologists to carry out appropriate programs that allow PM patients to effectively perform their cardiac rehabilitation physical training.
