Detection of Myocardial Ischemia through Non-Conventional Stress Test Markers: Case Report
Abstract
The exercise testing has, as most important markers, the ST segment deviation. However, there are also different markers of positivity. The following case report has not shown angina or ST deviations, but has presented alterations in R wave amplitude, Q wave disappearance and T wave pseudonormalization. Has also presented ventricular arrythmias in recovery phase, and depressed behavior of cardiac frequency and systolic blood pres-sure during testing. The test was associated to myocardial scintigraphy, which corroborate the ischemic findings. The patient was sent to coronary angiography, which confirmed the occlusion, followed by invasive treatment. This case report illustrate the importance of non conventional markers of ischemia in the exercise testing, as well of its importance in the evaluation of the test results.
