Abstract

The year 2020 has been marked by a viral pandemic of great proportions, both by the number of infected (more than 6 million) and the number of deaths (more than 360 thousand) and by the immediate and late economic losses (still undetermined, but already felt by everyone). COVID-19 can be prevented – although there is still no vaccine available -, treated – although there is no consensus – and it is known that survivors need rehabilitation after intensive care. But would it be possible to prepare people if they get sick? Could the principles and components of pre-rehabilitation be adapted and applied in COVID-19?
